No Show/Missed Appointment Policy
Due to the rising demand for desired appointments times, coupled with the increase of clients failing to show for their confirmed appointments and/or rescheduling at the last minute- I have adopted a No Show/Late Cancel/Missed Appointment policy. This policy allows me time to schedule another client that would also benefit from treatment.
Failure to cancel or reschedule (at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time) will result in a $30 fee.
Appointments are confirmed via Schedulicity email.
If you desire a different form of confirmation you must inform me.
While there may be a variety of reasons why you may not be able to keep your appointment, a broken appointment time is a loss for everyone. In an effort to apply this policy fairly to all of my clients, please do not ask me to make exceptions in this policy.

If you arrive late I will make every effort to complete your desired treatment, though your valued appointment length will be cut short.
Payment
Payment is due at time of service. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Cash and Checks.

Pre + Post Care Suggestions
To optimize your service and reap the MOST benefit, please review the following suggestions. Additionally, please review BARE's Contraindications list.
. Waxing Services
Pre-Waxing Advisement
DOs + DON'Ts
HAIR LENGTH Clients new to the 'wonderful world of waxing' should allow for a 2-3 week growth prior to your first appointment. Desired hair length should be approx 1/8"-1/4". 'Virgin waxers' should trim hair to no shorter than 1/2". I also suggest a manual exfoliation of the area 24-48 hours pre-waxing appointment(eg loofah gloves). It is advisable to schedule your first waxing appointment when you are well-rested, feeling healthy and hydrated. DISCOMFORT To minimize discomfort during your waxing appointment you may opt to take a dose of Ibuprofen 30-60 minutes prior to assist in dulling your pain receptors and guard against inflammation. For your comfort, a topical anesthetic (4% Lidocaine) may be applied pre-wax. Waxing services may be performed if a woman is currently having her menstrual cycle, though there may be heightened sensitivity. Please wear a tampon if you have scheduled a bikini or brazilian wax. Limit or avoid your caffeine consumption prior to your waxing appointment, as this stimulant can create a more sensitive waxing experience. Please, however, stay well-hydrated. I offer bottled water upon your arrival while you are completing your informed wax consent. UV EXPOSURE To minimize hyperpigmentation, please avoid UV exposure (sun's rays or tanning bed) 48 hours pre AND post wax. Waxing exfoliates the skin surface and allows for increased sun sensitivity. MEDICATIONS Please discontinue the use of vitamin A derived products (eg Retin A) a minimum of 72 hours pre-waxing. Additionally, waxing services are contraindicated for those clients currently using Accutane. Please inform Kyong if there have been any changes to your medical record or medication list. Please discuss medications with your prescribing physician, as some may cause thinning of the skin. Please refrain from chemical peels or microdermabrasion prior to facial waxing. |
Post-Waxing Advisement
DOs + DON'Ts
Please DO NOT shave, tweeze or use a depilatory cream(eg Nair) in between waxing appointments, as this will disrupt the reduction in hair growth results you are trying to achieve. DO schedule a repeat waxing appointment every 4 weeks to help minimize the area's hair growth and density*. Thus over time the hair follicles in each stage of growth (Anagen, Catagen, Telogen) will be repeatedly disrupted and removed from the follicle. With each removal new hair growth is stimulated. A goal of waxing is to regenerate hair growth on the same cycle- thus reducing the overall density for longer periods of time.* *No guarantee is expressed/implied as to specific results. CARE As waxing exfoliates the skin surface which may cause slight sensitivity please avoid engaging in activities in which you will sweat or cause irritation(eg exercise, hot tub) for 24-48 hours post-wax. To minimize hyperpigmentation, please avoid UV exposure(sun's rays or tanning bed) 48 hours post-wax. EXFOLIATE It is important to begin and continue to exfoliate the waxed area 24+ hours after your waxing appointment. Exfoliating will encourage cell turnover and remove the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, helping to prevent ingrown hairs. Exfoliation can be achieved chemically(eg PFB Vanish) or manually(eg loofah gloves.) |
